Jim quickly proved to be a key member of the Siemens iPlayer application development team. He led the team extremely well, providing clear direction and leadership and forging strong working relationships with the other teams and the BBC that the developers interface with. Jim's technical skills ensured that the high standards of development continued and he managed all the deployments of code across a complex environment with skill and dexterity. Jim's personal skills are excellent, he has a genuine and cheerful personality that keeps morale high within the team and he is always a voice of sanity in what can be a highly pressurised environment where priorities and the customer's demands need to carefully managed. I, like the rest of the team, am very sorry to see Jim go and if we could keep him we certainly would.
